DirecTV to support portable video
Although this idea was announced prior to CES, DirecTV has officially announced plans to let users connect their portable video players to their DirecTV DVRs. No word yet on exactly which portable video players will be supported. There is also no word as to which DVR models are supported.
I recently upgraded to 2 of the DirecTV R10s (the last DirecTV DVR to use the TiVo software). I will be disappointed if they require the R15 (which uses DirecTV's own DVR app) to take advantage of portability.
