Lollapalooza cancelled
According to CNN.com, this year's Lollapalooza tour has been cancelled due to weak ticket sales. This is a big bummer since there were some really good acts on the tour: Morrissey, P.J. Harvey, The Pixies and Sonic Youth.
According to the article, "older fans" (that's me, I guess) don't want to spend all day at an outdoor festival. Conversely, younger fans don't want to see any of these older bands.
I guess I am one of the few old timers who would spend all day at a festival to get to see the Pixies and Morrissey. If they could just find 14,999 more people like me in each city of the event, they'd be in business.
