Army Sets Up Video-Game Studio
According to Wired.com, the U.S. Army has opened the America's Army Government Applications office in Cary, North Carolina to build upon the success of the Army-produced action video game "America's Army" which was released in July 2002. The studio employs 15 people pulled mostly from local video-game companies. The Army claims that it is cheaper to operate its own studio than it would be to farm out training simulations to outside vendors.
