Road trip to Podcamp Nashville
Todd Earwood, Aaron Marshall and I took a road trip yesterday to attend Podcamp Nashville. The day started at 6:30am at the Starbucks near my house where everyone jumped into my car for the 2.5 hour ride to Nashville.

There was a pretty good crowd at PCN and, overall, I think it was a good event. There were some good speakers, like C.C. Chapman, Scott Schwertly (who was obviously "inspired by" Dick Clarence Hardt's Identity 2.0 presentation from 2005 for his presentation), Joseph Jaffe and Todd Earwood (who helped pimp Profilactic), and some not-so-good speakers. In fact, the event would have benefited from having fewer speakers and more time for networking and/or break out sessions. Once the schedule got behind, everything seemed very rushed.

We met some interesting people, including Doug Petch, Nathan Ketsdever, Elin Eifler, and had discussions on everything from Twitter to web video to Profilactic to portals to beer. We also had a good laugh trying to figure out what Jeremiah Owyang was up to this weekend.

One of the best parts of the day, for me, was the road trip itself. Todd, Aaron and I shared tons of stories and laughed A LOT. We also consumed some really scary truck stop food (Note to self: Don't ever let someone order Chinese food from a Flying J truck stop).

The day ended at around 10pm when I dropped Todd and Aaron back at their cars.

You can see lots of photos from the event here.
